Silvern Gleam is the icon of the Arabian horse in South Africa being the only Arabian to have won the all breed Supreme riding horse championship 1999 at the Horse of the Year show and returning in 2000 to be reserve Supreme riding horse all breeds at the same show.  He was the first ever horse to win the Supreme Riding Horse Champion at the Autumn Gold Cup and he has more than 20 South African National titles credited to his name in numerous disciplines.  Comments from Claire are : "Gleam is an outstanding horse, not only as an Arabian, but also in comparison with all the different horse breeds that we produce and show under saddle.  He is incredibly sensitive and intelligent, very responsive to calm encouragement, rarely needs to be admonished for inattention in his work and co-operates to his utmost to please his rider in all that is asked of him".

Silvern Gleam is the Arab Stallion who will always be remembered as the Arab which set the standard for riding in our country, and we know this great horse will be remembered by the many who saw him so elegantly ridden in the showring.

Gleam has proved to be an outstanding sire.  All his foals have been grey and include numerous champions in halter and ridden classes up to national level.
